Subject: Mermaid in a Bowl of Tears ~Chapter 65 – Neither Friend nor Enemy

1. Sometimes I just want to smack Pamela. I thought her meeting William Bright was extremely selfish. I felt that she should be focused on the living, rather than the dead. Does anyone else feel that way?
2. I was amused at her awareness of the leaves on the beech trees. Does terror heighten emotions? Or was she just trying to do something else with her mind?
3. “though her fear of rape was almost stronger than her fear of death.” That statement really hit me. Are there events you fear you would choose death over?
4. The series of meeting in ’61 – I may have missed something here but were they for the same purposes that Jamie represents now? To get both sides to talk? Did these things continuously begin and fail?
5. Who do you think was behind the guys in the ditch? Was she followed? Was it a set up? Talk to the espionage in this scene…….
