Deborah's mother and Scarlett's grandmother (Mary C Drum) passed away Wednesday afternoon. The family will be receiving at the church Saturday at 1:00pm and funeral services at 2:00pm at Winkler's Grove Baptist Church in Hickory. Please keep the family in your prayers.
Our regular photographer was unable to attend this year, so LMNC contracted with another photographer to come and take photos of the contestants as we have always done in the past. We did receive the cd with contestant's name on the cover, and we merely mailed it to the contestants that had purchased photos. We did not feel we had to look at the cd before we mailed them since we have never had any problems in the past with photos. We are attempting to contact the photographer to see what in the world is going on. They presented themselves to us as being professionals.

Why does it seem when it comes to competition the children are more mature than the adults? Of course "our" child is the most gorgeous, talented and best behaved but not all can be the winner that is why it is a competition. The adult must be a role model and accept whatever the outcome may be for their child with grace and dignity. Best of luck to all and I hope we don't see some adults acting like spoiled children like we did last year!
