For the LMNC state pageant on the application form it states an optional competition categories (photogenic, beautiful, personality and wardrobe). Will this be judged for each age group or a collective judgement for everyone in the competition?

I have read all the comments pertaining the Little Miss competition and it seems to me that there is more bashing on the child that didn't win than the one that did. As an outsider looking in and reading the comments, Judges that are chosen to judge a pageant should not be affliated with any contestants or families. Especially judges that only clap and applaud for certain contestants are not pageant judges and do not meet judges requirments. So should anyone of these contestants qualify to go to state with these types of judges? Pageants may have different names or be in different states but they are one in the same.

I wish to thank everyone who participated in the pageant. We had a great time and have received positive feedback. I apologize for the rain and the street construction. A special thanks to the North Carolina Court present and to my emcee's Victoria Baskett and Chelsea Guild. They were rain soaked, smiling and kept the contestants entertained even telling some they were going to win. From what I am reading on the board, I understand one of the parents is upset regarding a statement made by one of the queens. I have watched the NC queens all year. They are known for making contestants at all preliminaries fell at ease and love having fun interacting with them. At no time ever has any emcee been aware of my winners until that list is placed on the poteum. I run a fair and honest pageant. I was approached by a parent regarding this statement. I understand the other child in that division being upset by hearing such but that statement was made in fun and at the time it was spoken, my auditor was still sitting at the judges table tabulating scores. Even I didnt know the winners and I told the parent I didnt. I also told her the statment was made in fun. I never look at my scores until all are tabulated and I pick the ambassador and for this pageant I decided to pick two ambassadors because I felt due to just looking at the low numbers in the 7-18yrs. there was the potential for one of the girls in the little or the junior groups (both had two contestants) to walk away and be the only girl to receive an award. If anyone knows me, they know that would absolutely break my heart. When the scores were handed to me, I was in the presence of 3 judges and I requested my auditor walk back with me to the poteum. At that time and only at that time did I turn the awards list over to the emcee's who never left the poteum and we immediately began the crowning ceremony. Am I upset, no. I know I am an honest director and have a place in my heart for all my contestants. I want them all to win but unfortunately that can't happen. I am concerned that a parent would bash another child because she feels her daughter should have won. She is a little girl. She was dressed by an adult, she was judged by adults who felt she deserved to win that division and she received very good scores. It is sad to see a small child being bashed for something she had no control. If her dress was torn, tattered, hair out of place or whatever it is no fault of hers. Again, thank you all and hope to see you at LMNC this year. We will have fun as we always do and support one another. I am blessed to have such a great goup of girls qualified to attend state. Mr. David and I will be there cheering you ALL on to win!! You are never without a cheering section..(Hugs and Kisses)

It depends on the director for that preliminary pageant. If there are restrictions, that director usually has it in the application.

We are still able to take contestants in the LM Carolina Foothills Pageant which will be held on Saturday, May 16th at the Brookford Center in Hickory. There has been a time change for the pageant. All contestants have been notified of this time change but for anyone else interested please note that Interviews will begin at 11:30 am for girls 7 & up and competition for all age divisions will begin at 1:00 pm. This is not what is stated on the application so make sure you make a note of the correct time! Numbers are still low!! We need more contestants!! LMNC will be paying the $300 sponsorship fee for the Mini Majestic and the Majestic Winner of this pageant. This is the next to last prelim (last one is this Sunday 5/17) to qualify for LMNC State. Also, if you have already won an LMNC prelim, we welcome you to compete and sharpen your skills for the state pageant.
Admission is $5.00 per person (contestants and 1 chaperone are free) However, since this is a fundraiser pageant everyone else must pay the $5.00. We will have visiting queens announced on stage.

ITS HERE!! We plan on having a great pageant. We have 18 beautiful contestants. We are all excited to be competing at Campbell University in the Turner Auditorium, which is centrally located on the campus. Doors open for contestants at 10:00am. Registration is from 10:30-11:00am. Photogenics are due at that time. Interviews for the 7-18 year old contestants start at 12:00 noon, at which time the auditorium will be open for family and other spectators. On stage competition starts at 1:00 pm. Admission is $8.00 for ages 5 and up. Visiting Queens free. We are blessed to have the Little Miss North Carolina Queens present. Her Majesty herself, Miss Ashlee Perkinson will be performing for us, with other members of the court assisting to ensure we have a successful pageant. Thank you, girls.
