I do understand the economy is a big issue currently and has had an impact on the pageant world. This sometimes is very hard to explain to a younger competitor who that competes regularly. I have been asked by several mom's to please consider an earlybird or lower the fee's, which I have chosen to do. 0-6 yr competitors may compete for $120.00 and 7-18 yr competitors may compete for $130.00. The Little Miss Sandhills Pageant, a Little Miss North Carolina Preliminary, will be held on Sunday, February 15th, 2009 at the Robert E. Lee Auditorium in Southern Pines, NC. It is open to the 11 Sandhills counties which are : Moore, Lee, Richmond, Cumberland, Hoke, Harnett,Montgomery, Scotland,Chatham, Randolph, and Robeson. Deadline is February 4th 2009.
If you or (daughter) already hold an LMNC preliminary title you may be interested in our Royalty Division.

I am looking for a great lady that helped my daughter at the Tropical Dream Stars Mini-Nationals in TN in 2008. I think her name started with a D? Her services included spray tan, make-up, hair and coaching. Her mother made dresses. She works out of Hickory I believe, or Marion. Anyway, I lost her card and am desperate to find her! The deadline for entry is approaching. I currently have no contestants in Miniature, Young and Teen Divisions. This would be a great pageant for new contestants. Please let me know by Feb. 17, 2009 if you plan to compete. You can call me this weekend at 919-796-2107 or 919-291-5774 as we will be out of town. $120.00 for 0-6yrs and $130.00 for 7-18yrs. The American Red Cross, Cabarrus County is hosting the 3rd annual American Red Cross Starz Singing Competition and we are looking for singers.
This is the only major fund raiser for the Red Cross in Cabarrus County.
Our fun STARZ Competition showcases local singing talent and keeps growing each year to help support the many Red Cross services in Cabarrus County. To enter all you have to do is come to the open mic auditions at Concord Mills on Saturday, February 28, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. There are two age categories: 6-12 years and 13 years and up. The final competition will be held at Jay M Robinson High School on Saturday evening, March 28, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Two $1,000 prizes will be awarded to the winners in each category!
This event, as well as others, helps the American Red Cross, Cabarrus County to be able to support the needs of our community. Throughout the year, we help families who experience house fires, donate over 5,000 units of blood (helping over 15,000 people!), help service members and their families and train many people in health services, such as CPR. Through a cadre of volunteers, community partners and financial supporters we provide essential services to meet needs any time day or night. This exciting STARZ event provides an opportunity to support these local needs. Please be generous in your support-as a volunteer, a blood drive sponsor, a trainer for health services or as a financial supporter.

Hayden Pearson holds the title Little Miss Baby Doll NC 2008-2009 and will attend the Majestic of Wake Pageant this year BECAUSE she won that title in 2008 and this is the pageant that qualified her for Miss NC State Pageant. I encourage whoever has an interest and wonder what the pageants are about and if it is a "good" experience to give the Little Miss NC pageants a try--it has been a wonderful experience for Hayden, Mom and Grandma and even as young as Hayden is she has grown and it is a positive learning experience. Mini Majestic and Majestic Queens will recieve their sponsorship fees paid the LMNC if we have 30 contestants. The date of the pageant is January 31st in Hickory. Also we will have a royalty reign group for prelim queens who need extra practice for state.

I just want to tell the girls how proud I am for my grand daughter, Hayden, to be involved with such a wonderful group. Even when someone cannot make an appearance they are there in spirit and they are always with each other in thoughts and prayers. Beautiful Mary Jo Bond Dress designed by Toni Overby for sale. Only worn a few times and just breathtaking. White with silver overlay on long full skirt. This is 2 piece. I will include the slip we purchased to go with it also and the earrings from MHR. Paid 2500.00 for this dress new and it was sold but buyer never finished paying for it so someone will get a great deal on this gown since the deposit was paid on it 4 months ago. Unfortunately, I am not able to have the Little Miss Kerr Lake Pageant the first Saturday in February like I always have because of a scheduling conflict with my husband. He has a sound and light business and has booked a pageant in SC for that weekend. So...all other weekends are booked at VGCC, the location I have the pageant. If someone scheduled at VGCC cancels their event then I will be able to get their weekend. I am also looking for an alternate place to have the pageant. Soon as I know the date and location I will post it here and on our website www.littlemisskerrlake.piczo.com Thanks so much for all the inquiries about the pageant.
