Elise has decided to give modeling another try. She modeled when she was younger, but she needed a LOT of dental work when her teeth started coming out and coming back in.... Here's some new shots she did with her agency:

Hey! It's Amanda from the forums. I was just looking at some of the queens websites...and I must add that Elise's is great! I love all the photos. I saw your post that she's only 10, I thought she was wayyy older! She looks very mature for her age. How did Elise do at nationals?
Queens for Courage -- Sharon, 19:13:00 04/09/08 Wed [1]
Elise was invited to visit Governor Perdue with Queens for Courage today, where she was surprised with her very own ambassador crown! She is now an "official" member of Queens For Courage!
Congratulations to our good firend , Courtney Smits!! "GA Youth Volunteer of the Year" -- Sharon & Elise, 18:35:55 02/12/08 Tue [1]
She was selected for the work she has done with her charity organization, Queens for Courage. This is the organization that Elise chose to work with as her "platform" this year. They do really great work to support our wounded warriors. Way to go, Courtney!! We are so proud of you. We'll keep our fingers crossed for your trip to Washington DC. Maybe you can bring home that $5K donation for Q4C. That would be an awesome gift for our veterans!! Again, Courtney, we couldn't be more proud!!

FINALLY! The website is a little more up to date now. I think I covered everything we've done since the last update. I hope you enjoy the new photos. We'll have more to come soon, no doubt.
Also, coming in August, watch for the ALL NEW design of itselise.com. After Elise passes on her title at the 2008 Georgia American Coed pageant, we'll update the website to allow the new Georgia Sweetheart to shine in her spotlight.
Happy New Year! -- Sharon & Elise, 17:56:10 01/08/08 Tue [1]
I hope everyone is having a great 2008 so far! Elise and I are off to a good start. We're trying to get some things going and planning for the upcoming pageant season! I know I promised some updates to the website... they're coming, I promise. Santa didn't bring that software that I needed, so I've got go get it. Hopefully I'll have it by this weekend so that next week we can have a NEW LOOK FOR A NEW YEAR.
Did you check your email? -- Queens For Courage, 08:22:14 01/02/08 Wed [1]
Hi Sharon! Just wanted to see if you were available for an opportunity tomorrow. I sent you and Elise an email - if you know any other pageant friends that might be interested, please let me know. Especially for the ones that may be 18 or older.
Love ya girl! give Elise a hug for us- the website looks AWESOME!
Hey - you should go into website design or something - I kow an organization that could use some help! haha
Merry Christmas! -- Sharon, 11:40:23 12/25/07 Tue [1]
Hope Santa brought everyone what they wanted! Most important, I hope everyone remembered the real reason for the season- nothing to do with Santa or gifts.
National Scores -- Sharon, 07:06:23 12/23/07 Sun [1]
We received Elise's scores from Nationals this week. She tied overall for 20th place, and she was only 10 points from top 15!! She did a great job. Her lowest score (for the first time ever) was her formal wear. I don't know what she was thinking when she walked on the stage, but it would have been a great walk for sportswear!!! Her interview appearance and interview scores were great, I think she make top 15 or right at top 15 in both of those.
On a brighter side, she competed in a pageant this weekend, and she won the Overall title - highest score in the whole pageant! When she has her head together, she does a good job =)
Keep your fingers crossed for us. In March or April she will be competing in a local pageant for our county. She was first runner up last year, so we'll see what happens. This summer, we're giving NAM a try for the first time. We'll keep you updated!
Also, keep your eyes open for updates to the website. I think Santa may bring me the software I've been needing to make changes/updates to the site!!

Queens for Courage -- Sharon & Elise, 07:18:07 09/27/07 Thu [1]
Elise and I are proud to be working with Queens for Courage this year. Queens for Courage is an organization founded by Courtney Smits and Lilly Gibbs to assist our wounded warriors in obtaining prosthetics and providing financial assistance to them as they adjust to their new lives as Disabled Veterans.
Please check out the website at www.queensforcourage.com. There are numerous ways that YOU can help support Queens for Courage. For those of you in Georgia, there is a Celebrate Freedom pageant coming up on Oct. 20th. For those of you outside of Georgia, there is a raffle that you can participate in. If you own a business, you can become a sponsor. You can also make financial donations. They have a goal of raising $10,000 by Veteran's Day. If you are interested, please contact Molly@queensforcourage.com!!
This is a wonderful opportunity to show our support and appreciation for the brave men and women in uniform who put their lives on the line in defense of our freedom!!
Congrats to my "extended family" -- Sharon, 05:15:52 09/04/07 Tue [1]
Congratulations to all of "my" children: Jaycob (Mr. Douglasville), Sarah (Miss Labor Day), Elise (Miss Douglasville), and Mycaela (Miss Labor Day and Miss Douglasville Overall!!).
You were all so beautiful (and/or handsome).
I will be posting photos from this event on the website soon, so check back later this week.
Elise made Chorus!! -- Sharon, 08:23:56 08/29/07 Wed [1]
Congratulations to Elise for making Chorus at her elementary school. Each year over 100 children try out for the elementary chorus, and only 60 can be chosen. This is the first year Elise was eligible to try out (have to be in 4th grade) and she made it!! Way to go, Elise!
Congrats to Elise -- Sharon (Proud Mom), 10:13:55 08/20/07 Mon [1]
Congratulations to Elise on her win at the Miss Middle Georgia Pageant. This was a pageant she registered for WAY before Coed and due to some technical difficulties, it had to be rescheduled. The Coed National office was kind enough to allow Elise to compete, and we had a great time. Elise won her age division title (Junior Miss Middle Georgia), photogenic, and best smile!!
Good Job... -- SueEllen (Hayleys Mom), 09:07:13 08/09/07 Thu [1]
Hey, great job on putting up Elise's page.
I'm glad you deleted out the ignorant remarks of that poster from the other day.
We started Hayley doing National American Miss when she was five.
We had received the invitation in the mail, and at first, I threw it in the garbage. Then, I took it out, and read it cover to cover.
I set it aside, and then, talked to my husband about it.
I then went online and read everything that I could at the website.
I liked the fact that they didn't put makeup on the little girls. I also liked that it wasn't all about beauty.
So, we sent in our registration fee, and the rest is history.
This year, was Hayleys fourth year at competing.
Last year, was the first year that she competed at American Coed.
She won the Princess crown.
It was a dream come true for her. She spent this last year visiting Legislatures, participating in Community activities, being in parades, doing interviews, being on television, and having a blast being the Princess Queen.
There will always be ignorant people who can't see past the Jon Benet tragedy.
They will think that all pageants are the same, and until we educate them, they won't know any different.
National American Miss and American Coed, are the two top natural pageants in the United States.
Two very wonderful "Natural" pageants. They aren't "beauty" pageants, and makeup will never touch the faces of the younger girls. Everything is age appropriate, and they are taught about self esteem, and confidence.
Give Elise a big hug from Hayley and I.
If we don't see you at Nationals this year, hopefully, next year.
Changes to message board -- Sharon, 08:08:50 08/10/07 Fri [1]
Due to the CONTINUED ignorance of a few ADULT COWARDS who are afraid to contact me personally, I have changed the format of this message board. You must now submit your name and e-mail address before submitting a post, and all new posts must be approved BY ME before anyone else can read them. I have also deleted my previous response to these same cowards, as it apparently only encourages them when I acknowledge their ignorance.
To those of you who have used this board to congratulate Elise and encourage her, THANK YOU. I hate to post these new restrictions on you as well, but unfortunatley the world is full of hateful and spiteful cowards and this is the only way I can protect my daughter from their insanity.
WHOA...it is not your place to judge on Elise's website. (see below) -- Your NAM friends, Amelia Skye & Kira, 10:47:29 08/06/07 Mon [2]
It is an opportunity for sooooooo many life lessons. This young lady has the opportunity to do things with this title through out the year that will be PRICELESS. She will learn that things are not all about her in this world. She will sarifice greatly to serve to represent the youth of our state. She will learn so much about herself and the world around her. She will have a fabulous year. If your child was going to a band competition or a basketball tournament out of state you too would be fundraising for the opportunity. If your child was playing in the Little League World Series it does mean they are going to play professional ball one day but you still would not want them to miss out on the experience no matter the cost. Now you folks be nice. Elise is the chosen representative this year whether you like it or not and we feel she will do as fine a job as any one can and hopefully others will come compete for the same opportunity next year. AND...yes the national directors make a ton of money but so do dance, cheerleading, sports, camps, and many other child related businesses. So if not pageants someone else would be luring your time & talents so take your pick. Good luck Elise, hold your head high, and know they only take shots at you when your on top:)
Welcome! -- Sharon & Elise, 18:31:54 07/24/07 Tue [1]
Thanks for stopping by Elise's message board. You can use this board to leave messages for Elise, or just to post information you would like to share. We will be posting information regarding Elise's upcoming pageants and other endeavors as well, so stop by often just to see what's going on with Elise. Thanks!
