If you had to describe the sun, what words would you use? Would you describe the way it looked or the way it felt? These were the exact thoughts that coursed through Kosses’ brain as she waded into the sunbathed banks of the rocky stream. She would use words like: Warm. Bright. Magnificent. But she’d have to string words together such as, “everything the sun touches it lends its immeasurable warmth to.” She’d have to devote whole paragraphs to the way it reflected off water in shimmery crinkles. She’d have to detail how it moved through her sky- starting on one side to peek over her right shoulder and eventually over her left, only to disappear, but almost always reappear. She’d have to study the way shadows fled and hide from its presence and how they always seemed to stretch on forever just before the sun slept. The ancient centennials along the river bed were bare of all leaves which indicated winter, but all Kosses could appreciate today was the suns miraculous reappearance. It had been 3 days, 9 hours, 6 minutes, and 5 seconds that the sly God in the sky had hidden behind his immense blanket of clouds. This time for Kosses had been spent padding under pine trees and avoiding the slashing drops from the drizzling rain. Today, however, Kosses had woken to the sight of the sun streaming into her den and causing the white hairs in her tail to turn silver. She’d wasted no time leaping out and exploring her wet forest. The ground had been soggy all day and had left not only her paws damp, but also her underbelly and shoulders. The sun had followed obediently however, and dried her paws each time she took pause. Now, the sun hung in a small and far away globe directly overhead, smashing all shadows into nothingness. The water was chilled and the levels were high as the current swept away three days of rain. But to Kosses? The sun on her fur was inexpressible. She savored the world’s simplest, but most unappreciated pleasure. |

A rabbit? Drakes? Not even a deer? C'mon. Seriously? The big scary kitty-cat terrified of a little rodent. Addison tore into the woods after it. Sure, a mortal wolf had no chance but her? Yeah. No issues. She caught the rabbit, being careful not to hurt him. Bring it back live.... She dropped it at Drake's paws, pinning it down with a single paw. Master Jamison meet Master Rabbit. Hungry? Awwww. He was so cute. ____________ female werewolf 21 years human image |

She shed her coat and scarf, hanging them in the closet. Her purse, jewlery and shoes went into a wicker basket laelled with her name and she tied her hair back into a neat, curled ponytail. Some of her pack members hated their paws, but she loved them more than almost anything else. There was something incredibly staisfying about the breeze blowing through her long, dark fur and the crunch of leaves beneath racing paws. Perhaps it was her upbringing; perhaps it was her bloodline but she loved it almost as much as a pair of Miu Miu heels. Checking once more to ensure the front door was locked, she began to shed her clothes. True, she could wear them but... it was incredibly awkward to have lace digging into your joints when you had no thumbs to scratch with or the ability to move it aside. Once finished, Addison ook a deep breath and found her focus. Moments later, her petite human form was gone; replaced with the one of a small, slim and beautiful wolf. The canine squeezed her way through an oversized dog door, shaking herself off. Ahhhhh yes. Without a moment's hesitation, she dashed through the back field's overgrown grass, into wolf territory. Now all that she had to do was wait and see how long it would take for her paramour to catch up to her. The boy was persistent and fully capabale of following her. Now she just had to hope he would. ____________ female werewolf 21 years human image |
