The name "St. Francis Xavier's College" has now replaced the school motto "Suaviter in modo, Fortiter in re" (Gentle in Manner; Resolute in Action) which was originally written in Latin. 捍為濟記傳統 舊生會唔該做下野啦

[> Subject: Re: 改校徽？ Author: 公仔佬 [ Edit | View ] Date Posted: 22:41:04 10/10/08 Fri 近日有一位關心學校的舊生，傳送電郵給部分校友，訴說他對學校最近發展的看法，這是可喜的現象。因為，有學生和校友關心，學校的發展纔會更可觀。 不過，其中有關改校徽的指控，其實並無根據。因為校網有關校徽的描述，並非最近寫成的。該段文字，是本人在1995年編輯四十周年校刊時草擬的。而有關用拉丁文取代校訓一項，那是對九十年代前的校徽使用情況的描述。但自四十周年校刊重新繪畫校徽以後，學校也是一路沿用有拉丁文校訓的板本，而用校名取代拉丁文的板本亦已淡出。故到了今天，該段描述只是一段歷史記載而已，與學校最近的發展策略無關，希望各位不要偏聽，以免產生無端的誤會。
