I beleive I over a conversation last night between 2 prairiehill racer about one of them getting a new car anyone know any thing about it? Is Reuter bringing out another new toy? Or Ronnie tye? Brandon Allen?

Still have mine. Tried to sell it for a year & no one wanted it, so now I'm going to put it back together. Here's a pic of it apart. Shouldn't take to long to get it back running.

Hey, word around here is that there is a new door car in the works for PH. New Pro-mod chassis and body with a new 632 BBC on two shots. Not race ready yet but soon. It will be nice to see some new stuff at the Hill. Finally, some real horsepower.

Track -- Ken, 05:08:33 12/11/09 Fri [3]

Due to the forever changing Texas weather we will be closing for the winter. I wanted to stay open but not knowing what the weather will be from day to day forces us to make this decision. One TV station says one thing the others say something different and the weather channel says something else. This makes it hard for me to line up help to work.
It's been a rough year with all of the bad weather starting in March. We have only run three times since August due to rain or cold temp.
I want to thank all who helped us get the track open after the high winds in March. With out your help we would not have been able to open. I came real close to giving up but then changed my mind when all of you came out and gave us a hand. Goes to show what kind of racers and spectators come to "The Hill".
Special thanks to Ron and his staff at Tradinghouse Bar and Grill for the fund raiser to help cover some of the repairs. If your hungry for some good steaks go by and tell them thank's.
I would also like to think all of the track staff for doing a great job this year. Ed Wade I can't say enough about you....a great fiend to me and "The Hill".....Racers and spectators...Thank you.
From our family to yours..Have a Merry
Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year and we will see you in 2010.

I had no idea Prairie Hill Dragway had a forum. Way cool! Anyhow, I am looking forward to the new 2010 season. We will be bringing back an old track favorite....a black 1979 Chev PU with tons of spray. You will probabaly recognize it when you see it. I call it the "Leg Killer" since it is the one that shattered my Tibula bone in the burn out box 2 years ago. Look for it in the Spring. As for my little '69 Camaro....going to put more juice to it than ever! How much??? Take a guess!

Hell, I ain't never got low et. Don't bother me though, I race for the fun of it just like Robbie does and most everyone else out there. Next year maybe I can get enough juice in mine to keep close to Robbie anyway just to put on a good show. Robbie is a good friend of mine and out running him is not one of my priorities, like I said before having fun is.

They want to stay open for the winter and I like that but 50 degrees with a bright sun might be the best you get. If that isn't good enough maybe they should just shut it down until better weather. You never know though, next weekend might be in the 70's, after all we are in Texas. Ken is in a tough spot trying to keep it open for us and not being able to set anything in stone due to the weather.

I have not seen any street cars that can outrun JR's nova so I would like to see it myself, if you really have one then bring it. I don't have a bottle on mine and will line up with whoever is next to me. Win or lose I am there to run my car and have fun. I will have the bottle on mine next year though just to make it even faster than what it is.

Exactly as Chris said i haven't seen any streetcars out at the hill that can outrun any of the real racecars so don't say that street cars are faster than trailers cArs because it's not true not out there so neway jr keep doin what u do man all motor cars are just as good as a car with a bottle he'll sometmes even better u dnt break as much stuff lol

Well I've been trying to sell it for a year now to get something faster and no one has bought it. I don't need 2 race cars at the same time, don't have enough room in the shop & they don't do well sitting outside. Well so now I guess I will put it back together with the same OLD 496 and see if I can get it to go any faster. Planning on getting started on it real soon, maybe take some parts to Mike this week, all it needs is a rebore & new pistons.

well it has been a year and nobody seems to have run as fast as you did except non door cars look like to me you can still skate better than everybody else can.with your old 496 may be with fresh bore and new pistons it will run faster seeing that your old motor that was about to draw social security ran low 5`s . i see motors out there every weekend bigger than yours that can`t get the job done or either scared to put the hammer down. it will be good to see you running again!!!!!!!!

Two shifters to choose from. Both are used in good condition. one B&M Pro-shifter slimline design with air/electric shift solenoid and neutral switch, other is B&M Pro-Bandit slimline design with cable, no solenoid. $85 for either one.

Radios available:
Motorola P100 4 watt UHF, has programmable frequencies for $35 each. Several to choose from. Shoulder mic/speakers and headset cords available, extra.
Motorola P50 4 watt UHF, fixed frequency, 1 or 2 channel $55 each. Several sets of 2 or three radios on same frequency. Several frequencies available.

The Car belongs to Bill Losac. No he does not drive it. Ron Alumbaugh drives it normally but was not available sat. night. I use to drive it before Ron but did'nt have time for it anymore with my own car.

I think it is going to be the regular schedule, gates at 5 start running at 6. Sure would be nice to start earlier, 77 for a high and 60 for a low is what they are calling for right now. Hope to see yall there.

Track is closed only on the 7th of November. Will be open Nov 14th. have regular night. I'm trying to get program together for Nov 21st "Thanksgiving Run"..Not sure about 11/28..We having talking about running thur winter opening gates 12:00 time trials 1:00 closed around dark....What do you think????

About my 5.80 index "no one entered" ..Yes, it was good N/E bracket night 17 cars..I'm going keep trying till we find another class ya will enter!! maybe 6.00 are 7.00..

But just wondering if yall mite be able to get the dividers for the tree that way u dont see the other persons like it would be a little less distracting when u run someone with times that are close. the only reason u need to see the other person light is if ur running electronics class and leaving off the other person light so i think it would help out and keep people that have electronics from using them in a N/E class

Jeff ran a 5.56, i heated bottle to 1000 and made a try at it . the track had went away or at least right lane it was the first time that it just blew the tires off right at the hit. i will make sure next time to heat bottle good the first time and purge down to right prussure.I know it will go in the 50's.

It is with heavy heart that I have to report that at 5:30 a.m. Monday Dad passed away peacefully with all my brothers and sisters at his side. Dad injoyed being at the races and visiting with some of you when he was able and he will be greatly missed. Karen,
I would like to see a Quick 8 Door Car & Quick 8 Dragster with Pro Tree. Could use the Low ET money towards the Quick races.
Have a $10 entry on top of the bracket entry.
Maybe get some of these fast time trial cars racing heads up.

Turn the bracket racing into index class racing (6.0,7.0.ect)with a $100 payout to the winner & pay $1000 for low et. To make it more interesting at 11:00 every night make the 2 fastest cars run for the low et money,the quicker will get lane choice if there is only one car going for it reduce the payout to $500.

I like Robbie's Idea's on Index racing 5.80 or 6.00 Index.
We can bring in half a dozen cars from Central TX in each class. ($50 entry same as LR winner takes purse).
If we Index Race at PH, I will get the word out to all the Little River Index on Oct 10th at LR meet.

All cars running for low ET should pair up for the money.


Might also see about some Little Pooch True 10.5 (5.50)racers, Ken needs to talk with Sven from Killeen, he may be able to contact a half dozen Little Pooch cars.
These cars bring the crowds. ($50.00 entry fee takes purse)

Different possiblities here and many of these cars, 6.00/7.00 Index/Little Pooch and Low ET racers can also run for Low ET-Quick 8 money or ET race. Double the fun.
