The racing would be alot better if they would spray the track more than just at the beginning. When you have all the fast cars skating so bad they are loading up it kinda sucks. I understand the weather plays a part but dragging only helps so much, VHT isn't that expensive is it?

I think the track personell are doing every thing they can possibly do to keep it hookin. IMO I think they are doing better now than ever before. I heard Barry Poels ran a 4.32 last night.(NEW TRACK RECORD) When we got there around 6 the humidity was around 50%, the track had TEETH and by 10:00 pm it was close to 60%,which is the cause for the traction issues, and there is nothing that can be done when you get that much water in the air. RACER you are makin a bunch power and I know where you are coming from, it does suck, but I think the track personell have got it figured out pretty good. They are using plenty VHT and got a few other secret expensive ingredients that is causing records to fall and driveshafts to break. I wonder if Kenny Baker has been counting all of em?( got my trans case on july 4) We might be better off talking to Ken and seeing if he will open earlier, before the humidity sets in & hopefully the temperature will be manageable. They were having the same track issues at Ennis this weekend, track hooking like hell until the humidity set in then it was skate time.

I AGREE WITH ROBBIE ON THE CONDITIONS OF THE TRACK WHEN THE HUMIDITY GOES UP WE MAY HAVE TO MAKE OUR PASSES A LITTLE EARLIER DURING THE WINTER MONTHS BUT STILL HAVING FUN . AND IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DONATE A BARREL OF VHT TO KEN HE WILL SPRAY IT MORE COST 700.00 BARREL HE DOES THE BEST HE CAN.

This is the negative of cool weather and night racing. As Robbie said, when the humidity goes up along with the cool temperatures its like pouring water on the track from the accumulation of dew and low dense air. Granted I run the brackets and have a slower car made for the conditions, but I can account for at least a 3 hundreths loss in the 60ft and have to plan for it. This is the case at 3 other tracks I have run at with similar conditiions. For guys in solid chassis roadsters it gets even worse and is almost impossible to make a clean run. For door cars on gas I am impressed whenever I see one make it half-way down the track without igniting the tires and having to lift.

I would vote for opening up earlier, say 2 or 3. That way you could get 6 hrs in and it only be 8 or 9 instead of starting at 6 and ending at around 12.

Actually if I would have cut from a .000(perfect) to a .044 reaction time I would have still won on a holeshot. But I didn't so who cares. I hope we both continue to get faster as we tune and keep it close, makes the race exciting. Hopefully I can make it the 25th but I will come watch you even if I don't take the car.

I heard some guy is building a fuel dragster with the specific intent of taking down the track record at the "Hill". The 4.70 something time is already a recent record but I am not sure the track will hold much more. Maybe some nitro motored top fuel dragster can make it happen. On the other hand, if the guru of chassis set-up can't hook up, who can? Good luck to all who try.

have 350 small black chevy with nos fogger 36n 32 f 6 1/4 fuel pressure 34 degrees timing to start then 10 pulled out on nitrous, melting sum electrods and breaking the porcealn off any advice will be appreciated

36n32f is WAY too lean with 6 1/4 fuel pressure. Why are you staggering your jets so much? Have you tried with them squared up yet? Also why are you only running 34 total? Need more info,brand & heat range of plugs,comp ratio, octane & brand of fuel, type of ignition system, type of fuel system, hedder size open or closed exhaust, lobe sep of camshaft.
Cylinder temperature getting too high or detonation is probably is what is causing this. Send some more info

I have 30 fuel 34 nos with 15 degrees of timing coming off of 36 with no problems but I run 116 octane fuel. I have ran this for a year now

I run a autolite plug (ar3933 in my heads) gapped at 24 with 5 3/4 fuel pressure on the nos pump (flowing pressure) and 6.5 on the carb pump.I have two differnt fuel cells a 1 gal at the front for the nos with its own pump. hope this helps

I'm not saying he's not spraying the truck, but I never saw him purge it before taking off. I watched him make 3 passes and not once did I see him purge. That thing sounded wicked, I don't think he "needed" to spray it.

Sounds like fun to me. Do you still have the ol white truck? You know the one that says "Aint Skeered", and had the big ol set of cods hangin in the back. I think you also was using the back bumper for a wheelie bar too. I'll call ol Billy Green (my retired racing partner) and see if I can get him to come out with me also. I think Goodyear sold me some roller skates instead of slicks, because I fell like i be skating at the hill. Might try a pair of ice tires this weekend. Evidently front wheel drive is the way to go since they don't make many rear wheel drive cars anymore, so to try the front wheel drive technology I might make make a pass in reverse. They run everybody off the guardrail when I make a pass there anyway.

No I dont have the 65 anymore but I have the orange and purple S-10 WITH WHEELIE BARS that have more passes on them than the front tires. And it would be good to see ole Billy Green again, boy we use to have some good times and laughs. Hey racers be nice to the starter lol. Last week 05/30/2008
I found out I can still move if I need to, thanks to one red Nova LOL. Thanks to the driver and his quick actions no one was hurt mainly MMEE. The car was in the burn out and got a little out of control and started to run into the blue drums and as the luck paid off the driver was able to keep the car off of me just missing the drums by less that an inch. Thanks man. I here there is a pic. of me showing that I can still move if I have to.

Hope to see all of you at the races and lets see who the points champ will be at the end of points season.

Timing system came back and I installed it....It didn't work and now a complete New system will need to be ordered and installed....I am told that it will be shipped on Monday and I should have it no later than Wed. of next week and we will work to have it installed by Friday of next week. PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP ON US......THE "HILL" WILL BE BACK AS SOON AS THIS EQUIPMENT IS INSTALLED. This new equipment will have more options to help us run a much smoother program.

It was a great night last night. Wish I'd payed closer attention to who won what?? Reuter had low ET, I think? He has his ride HOOKING. There were lots of people out. Robbie had his car going for the first time this year. He spun the whole way down the track the first time, then he blew the tires off the second, backed up and tried it again and saved it at the finish line. What a wild night. I guess we will be second guessed again this Sat. Nite...Due to a wet track, we will not be open Dec. 1st.
We worked all day Sat. to prepare the track but the rain started about 2:30 p.m. and we had to cancel Sats. races.
