Subject: Drinking and Racing

If someone saw a racer drinking before racing why was a track offical not informed......we try to observe and correct any problems but we may miss some, but we must depend on others to help us keep the track as safe as possible. With that said I will investigate the allogations that this may have been alcohol related and I will take any action I deem necessary to correct it. WE WILL NOT TOLERATE DRINKING AND DRIVING NO MATTER WHO IT IS........ We dodged a big bullit Sat.night and I was in Church Sun. morning thanking God that no one was injured.
I'm very proud of my crew and the ambulance crew for handling this accident the way they did.....We learned some things and will correct any problems that we may have. Spectators will be kept back from track, track personal will be on the look out for any problems in the pits(which will include any drinking). Drag racing is a very dangerous sport and accidents will happen, but we must do everything we can to minimize this. I ask all who come to "THE HILL" to help us keep it safe.

I was in a accident several years ago at the Hill before Mr. Tucker took it over. It seems a el camino made a pass just before me with his tailgate down & the bed full of beer bottles, guess where they went. The track personal cleaned up but must have missed some pieces because when I made the next pass , I picked up a piece of glass in my front tire & it blew out. I took out the timing lights and ended up in the field on the other side of the track near where peaple now park. It did a bunch of damage to my car, It is still not fixed but no one was hurt. This is just a sample of what happens at any track
