I don't know about the magic number. I do know that the new motor should produce more than the horsepower I thought I had with the old motor. If you are talking about the 200 MPH number, this motor should go 220+ but I have not run it yet it to see. It gets a little touchy at the Hill over 190 so I may decide to let up on the throttle at any time in a high mph pass. I rolled and destroyed one of these a couple of years ago already, I do not want to see it happen again. I AM expecting some better 1/8 mile times. I DO know I have a bad habit of staying in the throttle when I should be letting up so we will see what happens this weekend.

Welllll, our short night at the race track did not go well. First pass we had SEVERE tire shake, peddeled it and severe shake again and then aborted the pass. Made some clutch adjustments and went back for a second pass.
Second pass started out better with a 1.04 60' and a 4.52 ET but pushed out a head gasket and melted off metal from the block AND the head along the way. So much for the all new motor. Probably pull it apart in a few days and piece it back together.
Other than that, I thought the new FM radio set-up worked well. We could hear the announcer clearly in our pit area.
Anybody else have any feedback on the radio hook-up?
