Hey Karen, I for one am not in favor of requiring those racers who are going for a track record or even if just for low ET of the night to run side by side of another racer. I was at PH a few weeks ago, still trying to find the right tune-up for my ride and on the second pass I ran into a "puddle" of someone's automatic transmission fluid and the back tires slid so bad that by the time I regained control of my dragster, I was in the opposite lane. Back at the pits, I found red tranny fluid covering the right side of my motor. Looked like it, smelled like it. (My ride does not have red tyranny fluid in it.) Thankfully, there was no other racer in that lane (it was a solo run). Some spectators like to see a "good wreck" but I have already been there and done that and set two track records at the same time, right side up and upside down but I do not want to go there ever again. Let's let those racers who choose to run their rides on that ragged edge to set new records have the choice to run solo. Lives are at risk.

that is why we suggested a little tech before, even if it is a outlaw track just some track personal to look over the racers rides for leaks of any kind bat hold down ,over flows on radiators, fuel leaks , tranny leaks all lug nuts seat belt ,helment , i know all vehicles have leaks so tech should make the call each vehicle before they even race for the night just another suggestion SOME RACERS MISS LEAKS ALSO.
