Calibers are not listed for the most part. The reason for this is that they will sometime vary from month to month, depending on what tubing stock is available. The best we can do is give generalizations until we inspect the actual bores. Each gun is inspected and a record is made of the serial number and actual bore diameter so we can advise customers on exactly what size ball to get.

In general, British muskets are around .75 cal

French muskets are around .69 cal

The 17th century muskets are .75

When we first started getting blunderbusses, they were .75 cal, but a few months later they went to .69 cal.

Pistols can vary quite a bit, but the French 1773 is around .69, the Murdochs are around .52, and the Ketlands are .60 cal.

We don't like to say something like "the English Dragoon is .625 caliber" because in any given crate of them, there may be some that are .615, a few that are .625, one that is .670 and one that is .607 with others mixed in. If we stated on the website that they were .625 and you planned ahead and bought the appropriate balls for a .625, it would be a real drag if the gun you got was really a .607 and wouldn't fit. (it has happened)

Basically, if you are looking for a particular gun in a particular bore size, the best thing to do is contact Wendy at orders@middlesexvillagetrading.com and tell her what you are looking for.
