Dear family of Rob! I am very sorry for your loss, and I pray for you all in this difficult time, but also beyond! I know how much Robert loved you all, and I have rarely met an adult who talked with so much love and joy about his family. You all were very important to him and Robert kept telling my kids to love God first, but then family right after God, then friends. You raised a very special person, with a heart of gold and a purity which is very rare in this world, and I truly admire you for that. He had so much compassion and pure love that I believe the lives of many he touched are changed forever!

To me and my family Rob was a blessing, sent by the Lord. We had the tremendous joy and honor to be friends with him for the past 5 years, to meet in person and to spend vacation with him.

When I first got to know him I was saved for 1 year and basically a baby christian. And in the first years the fellowship with Robert teached me probably as much about Jesus as my pastors did. He had an incredible knowledge about the bible, he loved the Lord with all his heart, and it was a joy to see his enthusiasm for Jesus. In every conversation the joy of the Lord was perceptible in him, no matter if he was doing fine, or if he was in pain. To pray or talk with him was such a blessing! The two things he said or wrote in nearly every talk and in every email were "What did you learn about the Word recently, please?" and "Smile sis...we are one day closer to seeing the Lord!".

The Lord used him in many, many ways mightily in my life, and he was very instrumental in bringing me into a very close relationship with Jesus.
When my husband and I had the honor and incredible joy to meet him in person and to spend time together it was amazing. We used to read the bible for hours and then his whole face lit up and his eyes were radiating with a joy about every verse he read, and he was so happy to discover Gods love, grace and mercy in every verse. I think we nearly covered the whole bible in our years of friendship. He was a wonderful brother who saw love letters from the Lord in every little detail, and it was such a blessing to know him.

When I think about Robert I remember him smiling in church and singing worship songs with raised hands, or laying on the ground, holding our hands in prayers, or being excited about how wonderful God created a little sea shell, looking up to the stars and wondering what else God has in store for us when we meet Him in Eternity, and his whole face lit up with the joy of the Lord. He was a beautiful man, but his outward beauty was nothing compared to the inner beauty. He had his struggles, like everyone else, yet he was a shining example of an ambassador of Christ. He loved to read the Word of God, and loved to talk about Him, and then I have seen him the most happiest. When he was in church, or talking about the Lord or reading the Word he smiled and his eyes lit up with the purest joy and love.
From the begin of our friendship we talked many times about Eternity and what we know from the Word about heaven. And many times he spoke about the joy and peace we will feel when our time here on earth is over and God calls us home to be with Him for all Eternity. To me, these memories give me me comfort and I know he is happy now in the presence of the Lord, singing and praising his maker, Lord and Father with all his soul. Many, many times he signed a letter with "In CHRIST'S LOVE,rob(His servant)<><". You were a true servant of the Lord Rob, and a tremendous blessing!!!!!!!

My heart is heavy to know that our time of fellowship in this world is over, but I thank God that He allowed us to form so many beautiful memories of shared fellowship. My husband, my children and I will miss him tremendously, and love him until we meet again in Gods glory. And I pray that whoever was touched by Roberts life, in one way or the other, will be blessed and if not yet saved will find the same personal relationship with Jesus Christ which Robert had.

We love you in Jesus for all Eternity bro and we are looking very much forward to meet you in heaven again!=)
