Date Posted: 05:59:51 08/30/07 Thu I just found this on a dear friend's blog and decided to share it here. I have a feeling that these words speak for a whole lot of us right now.. Kel When It Can’t Be Fixed... Current mood: sad I heard some terrible news today... The world has lost another bright light and it came as a shock. I suppose death is never welcome to those left behind, less so when it isn't even remotely expected. I am heartsick over the news, but a dear friend of mine is suffering more. It leaves me helpless. Like everything out of my mouth is a cliche and worthless in terms of taking away the pain. I am a person who when confronted with a problem, seeks solutions and resolutions. I throw myself into the process of making good come from bad, of turning things around. I do not often shrug my shoulders and acknowledge defeat. Feeling useless is in itself frustrating. I'm a control freak and I can't control what happened. All I can do is offer to be a shoulder if needed. It's a harsh world at times and things rarely make sense. One minute you are laughing and happy, and the next you are wallowing in despair. For RA, whose initials are that of the Egyptian god of the sun, his light will most certainly be missed and no one will ever fill that void. His smile, his charisma, was his alone and he cannot be replaced. He was a gift to those who knew him, if only from a distance. He was always generous with himself, his heart, his spirit and his time and though he is gone from here, the thousands of memories he gave to those who knew him will keep him alive forever. As he loved so he was loved in return. Be at peace. Robert Fulghum: I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge -- myth is more potent than history -- dreams are more powerful than facts -- hope always triumphs over experience -- laughter is the cure for grief -- love is stronger than death.
