Date Posted: 18:17:58 08/30/07 Thu I was shocked when I received the call telling me about Danny. Although he and I took two different roads as we grew up he was a dear friend of mine back in the glory days. I remember going to his home as a kid for sleep over parties, riding on his dirt bike and being really impressed with his collection of Evel Knievel action figures. Even as a kid he was a star. I remember Danny’s drum set. And as I remember, it would have made Tommy Lee jealous. Danny always had a smile on his face and was the kind of kid that other kids gravitated to. I have had friends come and go over the years but the shock of this has helped me dig up some fond old memories of a really cool kid. It has also made me wish we would have found a way to stay in touch and not let life get in the way of a friendship. Finally I want to thank Danny’s entire family for picking me to be a pallbearer at his service. I don’t deal with death like most people and this gave me a chance to tell him good-bye. J.R.
