Date Posted: 19:56:40 09/03/07 Mon I remember very clearly the day I first found Rob on the internet. It was the day my life completely changed, started off in a whole new direction, a wonderful adventure that is still going strong. If it wasn't for Rob, I would never have met a VERY long list of people whom I'm blessed to call my friends. It all began with him, those many years ago. As I read these posts and all the countless emails I've received this week, and all the phone calls I've received, I've heard over and over a common thread, of people wanting to know why he was taken so young, that somehow his life was wasted. All you have to do is absorb all the outpouring of love from so many different directions, going back so many years, to see he definitely had a purpose and his life was defnintely not wasted. Rob was a shining example of the famous qoute, "The candle that burns the brightest, burns the fastest." Rob's candle burned so very brightly. His light will alway shine in my heart. And whether you knew him as Rob, Robert, Robio, Roberto, Ashton, Graham, Ash, Danny, Ashtongunner, Mr. A. (and I'm sure many more)... he was so many different things to so many different people. But the common thing was his light. It pierced the hearts of everyone he met and left a forever lasting mark on all.... I would like to say a very special thank you to everyone who has sent me so many emails and phone calls and just a tremendous outpouring of love and concern. This has been a very tough week and your loving thoughts have been very much appreciated. This weekend I drove down to S. FL and was able to spend some time with some of Rob's family and loved ones and had a very special "goodbye" evening with a few of his and my dear old RT friends. It was a wonderful, bittersweet weekend, but it was good being able to say goodbye. Thank you all again. With Love, Kel [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
