Wow! I guess the claws are out this year already. I am sorry that people seem to feel that I would be bitter about the pageant. I had a wonderful experience competing both years. I have to say the women I competed with in 2007 are the most gracious women I have ever met. Cortney Whitley(MRS. NM 2007) and I remain very close, including her baby shower and the welcoming of her beautiful baby girl a couple of weeks ago. I have no ill will or bitter feelings toward anyone. Past, present or future. I wish everyone can be as elated as I am in their everday life as I am. I do know that anyone who has met me knows I am the first one to be there for you. The first to fix your panty hose, glue your butt, and help you to regain your composure before interview. I hope that all the winners hold themselves to the same standards, because without it, it is not a true win. I was offended that someone would question my character. If you feel the need to do so again, please feel free to call me anytime! 1-505-920-0503. I do extend my best wishes to everyone in the coming months. Competing or not. We need the support of others in the state of the world today. Please target your energy on making someone elses day a little brighter. Good Luck!

- Ashley, I am still new to the Mrs. Pageants and I have never met you but WAY TO GO for standing up for yourself on here. Jealousy is an ugly monster but BRAVO to you ... -- Lauren, 11:08:47 02/23/09 Mon
- Ashley, I can feel your love for pageants and seeing how well you have done... OMG, you should be cmpetting for 2009! You would be a great Mrs. NM. I have been in your shoes and did not give up and I won my state so go for it! Show those girls what you got and maybe I will see you at Mrs. America. -- Mrs. America State Titleholder Fan, 12:35:05 02/23/09 Mon
- Ashley, I heart you gal! You truly were our queen. Not only did Ashley glue my butt, but she was my mirror for putting on earrings in the wings, and was the first to put up a sign-up sheet in the dressing room for the contestants to stay in touch. It appears that some women on this forum are still - to this day - jealous and intimidated by her. She is the nicest person you will ever meet, and my life has been enriched because we did. -- Prez of Ashley for Mrs. America 2010, 11, 12 or even President!, 09:41:10 02/25/09 Wed
- No, not jealous. Just know what she wrote last summer and her walk is not matching her talk. Over it. -- No name, 11:24:51 02/25/09 Wed
- So apparently not... -- No name, 12:52:50 02/25/09 Wed
- How do you know what she wrote or did not write, I'm sorry but I was one of the first to post my disappointment with last pageants outcome, and NO I'm not Ashley, I'm a former Miss contestant who was at the pageant to see if I wanted to compete for this year. There were quite a few individuals who were shocked w/ the outcome, and not on the Denise bandwagon, no discredit to Denise, her pageant resume is extensive, but I think Ashley would have brought something new a fresh to Mrs America, she would not have seemed "pageant processed". That's neither here nor there, it's a new year and Ashley will not be competing, unfortunately. I look forward to the pageant this June, and hope Sherree has a great turnout of gals competing. -- Shelly, 14:32:42 02/25/09 Wed
