Wow! I guess the claws are out this year already. I am sorry that people seem to feel that I would be bitter about the pageant. I had a wonderful experience competing both years. I have to say the women I competed with in 2007 are the most gracious women I have ever met. Cortney Whitley(MRS. NM 2007) and I remain very close, including her baby shower and the welcoming of her beautiful baby girl a couple of weeks ago. I have no ill will or bitter feelings toward anyone. Past, present or future. I wish everyone can be as elated as I am in their everday life as I am. I do know that anyone who has met me knows I am the first one to be there for you. The first to fix your panty hose, glue your butt, and help you to regain your composure before interview. I hope that all the winners hold themselves to the same standards, because without it, it is not a true win. I was offended that someone would question my character. If you feel the need to do so again, please feel free to call me anytime! 1-505-920-0503. I do extend my best wishes to everyone in the coming months. Competing or not. We need the support of others in the state of the world today. Please target your energy on making someone elses day a little brighter. Good Luck!

I'm really loving the old photos of our Queens of the Past! If anyone has others, I would love to see them and celebrate the rich history of Mrs. Pagentry. Plus it's such a hoot to see how we've changed over the years. Anyone...

To me it seems that it would pull a lot of women out of retirement to compete again. This is the baby boomer generation right now and statistically there are more women over the age of 45 than there are under that age. Is there anyone competing in America that is over 50's this year?

Come on directors lets judge these pageants on beauty and scores not what you do in your spare time..Let the ladies on stage decide their destiny by competing!! Just because your not rich or famous does not mean you are not deserving of the crown.

I think everyone on this board could benefit from this post. I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to pay my sponsor fee plus added expenses like opening nummber dress, gown, swimsuit, jewelry, fitness training etc... I have thought of asking my gym, photographer, hair salon and tanning salon. What has everyone else done? Let's list our individual ways of raising sponsorship money and maybe we can help eachother pay the expenses. I competed at the miss level before, but never at teh Mrs. Sponsorship fees are new to me and I feel so uncomfortable asking for money. Any other ideas I am not thinking of?

I loved her and she was in my pick for Top 5 for sure but I sure thought it was interesting that she had everything besides her evening gown that was Lauralyns. Her gown had problems but she was still beautiful and did a great job.
