Subject: Mrs America is is marketable, and is a wow she is a "solid" woman, speaks well and looks great doing it!. In the past the youngest winners are older 20s and oldest are older 30s. I truly feel that Mrs. America is the superbowl of them all. Not saying the other systems aren't good they are or they wouldn't attract the quality of women they do, but Mrs. America is the most spectacular of them all. I would suggest googling the former winners and read their bios. Nicole Brink, Diane Tucker and Julie Love Templeton are all very similar to what you said a beautiful person who promotes the pageant and try to get more women involved. The current Mrs. America is pregnant at the moment and the Marmels are celebrating the fact she is! it is the first thing you see on their website. When Andrea won this past year, they had a picture of her and her family up first thing! Their motto is "We are family" and they are showing it!

In reply to: Mrs. 's message, "To all the directors out there and to those who've been around this system for a while (meaning more than 5 years), what does this system look for in it's winners? Taking a look at the states themselves there's a wide range of winners from young (24) to older (44) that's a 20 year age span. Click in for a bit more." on 05:34:40 07/14/10 Wed

[> Subject: A woman is a woman wether she is 20 or 60 so to assume that a young wife can't meet the needs of this program is bias. There have been a wide range of ages for Miss America and if you consider the score sheet you will understand why the judges choose whomever based on the scoring system not necessarily the attributes you suggest. To be a state delegate or Miss America is about what you bring to the program not what you are handed. You sound like someone that would be an excellent representative and should give it a go.

[> [> Subject: I'm the OP here. I do get that some young wives can have a lot of life experience. But I'm used to dealing with companies and organizations that have a "mission statement". I can't seem to find that for Mrs. America. To me that's what drives the choice of representative. And I am going to disagree that person who could still be competing in Miss USA or Miss America is in the same position as someone in their 30's, 40's or 50's. So what I'm looking for is a "mission statement". Maybe Mrs. America doesn't have this?
