You are taking what I am saying way too literally. I'm not saying the judges are taking points off or that Marmel is instructing the judges to pick a Mom. BUT I do think it helps a lady even if it is on a subconcious level. Especially when the branding is as concentrated on family as Mrs. America is. All other things being equal, you won't convince me that a woman who balances a demanding career with being a wife and a Mother won't have a leg up on someone who is just a wife.
