Sorry this is so much later than all other messages. I have only just discovered this site.

Little Joe's mother was Marie. She was French, from New Orleans.

The three Bonanza episodes that deal with the boys mothers are Elizabeth, My Love (Adam's mother), Inger, My Love (Hoss) and Marie, My Love (Little Joe.) All are flashbacks, with Ben remembering how he met each of the boys mothers.
