TMH- I agree with all you wrote, but there was a live pep band there in the far corner. I can see why you missed them. You must have been sitting on the visitors side on the stone blocks (which I will NEVER be able to understand). There is a consesion stand now under the press box and a few tents on Bluff Street.
That being said. I would like to summarize yours and many other posts since this board has been up.
1. Bring back and expand the marching band. A pep band is ok for basketball, but a marching band is part of college football.
2. Move the consession stand windows to the sides and to Bluff Street so you can sit more premium seats at the 50. You can access the press box from the top of the bleachers and take out the first flight of stairs to have the consession stand windows face Bluff St.
3. Add AT LEAST 6-9 more rows on top of the main bleachers by building out over the side walk. Take the row of parking out along Bluff and move the road over.
4. Take out the little square building at the South West part of the Field and run few rows of bleachers along the west endzone to make it a horseshoe set up.
5. Find a sponsor and get an animated scoreboard.
6. Buy some real bleachers (8-10 rows) to place on top of the blocks on the visitors side.
I agree. More people will show if it looks and feels like a real college game day and not a youth football field at the local park.
I posted the seating capacities of all our conference members and we are less than half of what ALL of them have.
