I spoke to Jerry Schmidt at this afternoon's Dukes-Rams basketball game and asked him about the announcement of the signed football recruits for Fall 2009. He said that the announcement should be made sometime this week. He is holding off on the announcement, awaiting for the signed letters of intent for an additional two recruits. He would like to have the entire list of signed recruits announced at the same time.
I told him that several of the posters on the football forum were growing anxious over the lack of an official announcement by now. He was pleased that there was this level of interest among Duquesne football fans and supporters about future Dukes. He thanked everyone for their interest.

George Von Benko interviewed him at Halftime. He had lots to say including Confirming earlier info. re: games against Delaware and Nichols State and trying to get Youngstown. Moore is switching back to reciever from the D Backfield. I couldn't get all the names or where they are from, but he mentioned Nick Redman 6'2" 280 OL that was looking at Pitt, BJ Morton who was considering Syracuse and Marshall, a "Regie Ireland"? from Maryland, Devon Dugan from Valley Forge, and Horvin Lattimer the LB who played in the Big 33 Game. He also mentioned Dave Wilson, Connor Dixon's old roomie. I guess the details will follow.
