Lets get proactive! -- Ray, Saturday, March 15, 11:16:40pm
Fellow Dukes' fans, I thought it would be a good idea to express our desire to see the Dukes play in the CBI. I e-mailed them earlier @ gazelle@gazellegroup.com and conveyed my hopes that their organization would consider the Dukes as one of their 16 participants. I will forward my e-mail to anybody who requests. We can e-mail them all day Sunday as the invites aren't going out until after the NCAA selections, but before the NIT. Lets get off our collective asses as fans and extend the season which ended too bitterly for our seniors and the entire program. These guys and ourselves have been through too much not to!

One down, fifteen to go. According to this morning's Houston Chronicle, the University of Houston accepted a bid to the CBI tournament yesterday, becoming the first of sixteen teams to be invited. Houston agreed to play its first game on the road against a "name opponent." According to the article, the 22-9 Cougars preferred the CBI to the NIT --- a tournament that snubbed them last season after Tom Penders' squad lost the Conf-USA championship game to Memphis.
