Nice article by Dave- He works hard and isn't one of the sarcastic, wrinkled old prunes like Smizik who think it is beneath them to write something that isn't snide and demeaning. Smizik grew up in the 60's era where he had to protest everything and think their generation knew it all.
Mackall's more balanced, well researched and a bit less opinionated. He lets the reader form their own opinion where Smizik has to think the world would be better off if they though just like him (I'm not that depressed and self-absorbed).
Just to contradict myself and look at the facts like old Smizik- How will the Dukes players, fans and admin. feel about the small scale "expansion" at Rooney after they play the spring game at Pine-Richland's stadium? I flew over that field as it was being finished and have since been in it. It is amazing for a high school field.
