The NEC is taking on some of the better teams in the FCS (I-AA) in UMass, Hofstra, Delaware, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, North Dkota State, Maine, Coastal Carolina, Bucknell and VMI.
This will not be a "Mid Major" conference for long if the NEC can step up and play respectably. The days of blowing out the St. Peters Peacocks and others that should have been D-III may be gone for good!

My only complaint it that we only play 10 games. We need one more against a non mid major to qualify for a potential tournament invite. We should play 11 anyway.

Holy Cross has an open date on 9/13, bu they play 12 games. Dukes may not have many options. A team like Duquesne is hard to schedule. They are technicaly a mid-major always have the potential to beat a higher rated team. A no win for a bigger team. No deal if they win but could easily lose.
