Duquesne PK Mark Troyan has been named a Preseason 2nd Team All-American by CDS(Consensus Draft Services). Troyan will be this years Bruce Hocker in that all NFL scouts will be at practice/games to see him play, but like Hocker, will not go any further than Duquesne. Yet, this won't be a bad thing for Mark as he is planning to continue his education on to Law school, unlike Hocker who failed to finish his undergraduate academic career at Duquesne. As a close friend of the Troyan family, I wish Mark all the best in this years season and congratulate him for representing Ford City as well as he has thus far in his career.
Additionally, DB Aaron Strader was named to the 2nd team. OL Steven Kuhns was named honorable mention. DL Mykol Gardiner was also named to the honorable mention as well, even though I think this kid is soft and will be sitting on the bench this year with scholly players on campus.
