Patterson/McCoy are irreplaceable. However, i'm excited to see what marty/dillon can do as a pro-style QB. Patterson was a great athlete and made a lot of big plays, but IMO you need a true QB to stand tall and make the reads to go from being GOOD to GREAT. Not slighting the success the past few years but I thought we could/should have done more.

I think what it boils down to is can Shmitt and the staff get the new guys to work together and create a rhythm during camp. The talent is there, never a shortage of that. Marty has been around for awhile and I think will be comfortable with the offense and his targets. I know nothing about the WVU transfer but if he committed there he clearly has the talent/upside. Hopefully someone can make it to camp one day and give us a scouting report.

My pre-season prediction: 5-6 - Will show spurts of dominance, but the lack of team chemistry, and lack of a dominant O-line/D-line will prove costly.

412- Those two made so many plays on their own I think we are going to miss them more than we think. Many times Larry bounced out on his own, Sean ran for his life making plays. I am sure they both would of liked to have been more pro style run through open holes and stand back and read defenses. They made up for some poor o/l play this past year we were too small. I hope I am wrong but I gave it 3-8 and my original was 2-9. Go Dukes. Rebuilding year
