Well, the good news is that the Dukes proved that they belong on the same field with the best programs in the nation. Losing an away game by only 3 to a team capable of winning it all proved that.

The bad news is that we ran out of time and came up short. I'd say that the game came down to one blocked "sure thing" field goal attempt that gave the Tribe 7 rather than ruining up 3 for us. A 10 point swing on one play.

Great season Dukes. I'm trying to figure out where to put this team in my Top 25 All Time Teams.

Hey Coffee, Well said! The Dukes absolutely played with the Tribe and I attended the game on the sidelines. I have never been more proud of the program and specifically this team! The 10 point swing that occurred on the blocked chip shot field goal TD hurt as it looked like the Dukes were on a roll. They still never quit and were only an onside kick away at the end!Hats off to the kids and coaches for the best Duquesne season in the modern era! Jack
