Let's see...

Delaware is once again the #1 in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) of Division I NCAA Football according to the most recent polls.

How did the Dukes do against the Blue Hens? Yes, we lost the game 30-6, however...

Only two other teams have gained more total yardage against Delaware than Duquesne: Top 10 ranked William & Mary (24 yards more than DU) and Top 20 ranked Massachusetts (who gained 439 vs. Michigan in the "Big House" which is more than the 424 they gained in the shootout vs. Delaware)

Only two other teams have gained more rushing yardage against Delaware than Duquesne: Massachusetts and James Madison (by 21 yards).

Only three other teams have gained more passing yardage against Delaware than Duquesne: William & Mary, Massachusetts, and South Dakota State.

Duquesne is currently #177 in the Sagarin Ratings (out of 245 rated Division I teams), ahead of Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams Louisiana-Lafayette, Middle Tennessee, Memphis, Eastern Michigan, and Akron.

This weekend, Duquesne plays Bryant for third place in the Northeast Conference. Sagarin has the NEC rated #7 in the FCS, AHEAD of the Ohio Valley, Ivy, Patriot, Big South, SWAC, Pioneer, and MEAC conferences/leagues.

The great run in the MAAC was terrific (and those teams deserve all the respect and admiration we can give), but near the end that was like being the skinniest kid at fat camp.

In my opinion, the move to the NEC was outstanding. The growth of the NEC has been outstanding. And the grow of the Duquesne football program has been... OUTSTANDING!

GO DUKES!!!
