Our young quarterback played just fine. He was let down by the play calling and a special teams coach that did not instruct the punter when to take the safety.

Let me preface this by saying I did not see the game.

Looking at the box score, specifically the 2nd half scoring, it suggests the flyers made some halftime adjustments that the Dukes could not answer.

Did anyone see the game? I find it hard to believe we were not the more talented team. What could have happened/not happened at halftime?

Dayton's defense adjusted and the Dukes had some questionable playcalls. Front seven were tight on the backs so they couldn't get going except for one long one, and they didn't really mix it up in the passing game at all to establish some breathing room.

Coversely, Bardo was getting free a little too easily, so he maintained his dual threat status... he's a better runner than a passer, but when he can run he's pretty comfortable having to throw. It's only when the run is unavailable that he makes most of his mistakes.
