The plans for the Annual Miss Atkinson County Pageant are underway. The pageant is planned for April 17th, at the Willacoochee Elementary School Gym. The fee is $ 60.00; this includes Beauty, Prettiest Hair, and Prettiest Dress. We will have a Queen and 2 runners up in each age division. The queen will receive a crown, sash and a plaque. The runners up will receive a plaque. We will have a winner in each division for Prettiest Dress & Prettiest Hair; they will receive a plaque also. We will also have a People’s Choice Queen in each division; she will receive a plaque or trophy. For the one girl who raises the most money over $ 75.00 she will be crowned our Overall People’s Choice Queen. She will receive a plaque, sash, and crown. Each contestant also has the chance to get free entry to the pageant and the chance to get bigger crowns by selling good luck tickets. The girls that sell $ 100 in good luck tickets will get free entry and a 7” crown, $ 125 in good luck tickets get free entry and 9” crown, $ 175 in good luck tickets get free entry and a 10” crown and $ 200 in good luck tickets get free entry and a 12” crown. We will be having a drawing for 2 Wal-Mart Gift Cards with the tickets that will be sold. Depending on the number of tickets sold will depend on the amount of the Gift Cards. If the girls are selling good luck tickets, they need to let me know by 3/31/10 so I can make sure and get the crown ordered. The age divisions are: 0-11 months, 1-2 years, 3-4 years, 5-6 years, 7-9 years, 10-12 years, 13-16 years, and 17-20 years. The deadline & practice for the pageant is April 15th at 6:00 pm at Willacoochee Elementary School Gym.
