Bonjour Sabine: Je respond en anglais - I have a first cousin whose maiden name was "Parrotta." Her mother and my father were brother and sister (both now deceased). They were both born in Taurianova Calabria which is very very near Palmi. I believe your grandpere Vincenzo Parrotta was related somehow to my cousin. You should contact "Commune di Taurianova" if you want family records. Please let me know if you want more information.
