Subject: Why would she do this Author: Confused [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 21:13:35 06/28/12 Thu My 10 year old daughter was out with her uncle and stopped at the gas station/convenience store where he bought her candy. Later she came to me in the living room with the hairbrush and held out a little grooming set and told me she had stolen it from the gas station and deserved punishment. I turned her over my knees and blistered her little bottom. Then I took her puffy eyed to the gas station to admit what she had done. The clerk looked at her with sympathy, then looked confused and she said they don't even carry that. I insisted that they must and she insisted that they didn't and my daughter looked like a doe in the headlights. I took her back home and tried to get to the bottom of things. My daughter insisted she had stolen it. I turned her over my knees again and once again blistered her bottom this time with a lot of struggle and squirming. I left her on her bed crying and told her to go to bed. I am really confused. If she didn't steal it, why did she insist that she did?
