This is probably the oddest story we have had on this board. I am usually quite opinionated but cannot come up with a satisfactory explanation. In effect, the little girl was spanked - twice - for something she DIDN'T do, which accounted for something she DID do but won't tell anyone about. As others have said, maybe she just wanted to be spanked, or maybe she wanted to get rid of guilt. I do hope it is not the former, that is frightening. The latter is usually associated with adults, children don't normally seek retribution without being asked. In both cases there is some sort of sexual element involved, so I hope there is another answer. I think Confused should try gently coaxing the explanation out of her daughter, for their sakes and ours! Our curiosity is overflowing.
