I have the almost exact thoughts everyday. The only time my mind can relax, is when that burn is keeping my bottom company. It's best when I can rub, and the fire fades very little. That's when only time will turn down the burn. After the burn has faded to 30% or less, my mind is so clear. I can think, or work my way through anything. That's why now my mind has slowed down enough to surf the web. Last nite before the brush I could not focus at all. Now with a small 10% of the burn, I'm ready to start my day and be productive.
