 Like George C., I have been around a couple of blocks. But in spite of that, it remains a deep mystery to me how to develop a mode of living (modus vivendi?) with the obsession that being a spanko is.

I radically object to linking or identifying Being X with "Having a fetish for X". No one NOW says that gay persons have a fetish. Rather everyone readily admits that being Gay is a state of being.

Someday, but not right away, there will be a Spanko Liberation Movement and just as there is much research into how persons develop into Gay adults, there will be similar research into how persons develop into being Spanko adults. This research will examine the effects of actual spankings but I am fairly confident that it will move on to an explanation that goes into much deeper genetic forces/roots.

My point, and as Ellen used to joke, I do have one, is that being a Spanko is constitutive of the Self. It is not some hobby that one can take or leave. It is what we are. For most of us, it is something we are aware of 24/7 and acutely aware of whenever the moment turns erotic!

So Keri, maybe the above will help you figure out the transformation into being 18-19 again? It doesn't seem dangerous; so, is it possible just to enjoy it?
