 My patience was about frazzled. I thought we were going to make it until we got them back to school but the one part of some chemical too many and we have an explosion.
For hours the girls were just at it. My youngest perpetrated her big sister and kept at her. I kept hearing "Ow, ow, ow stop it big sister." "Mooooooom!!!" "No stop it, stop it!! Don't hurt me!!" Although big sister may have been retaliating it was obvious that little sister was trying to get her in trouble. I'm sure that any of you who have kids knows just what I'm talking about.
I finally reached the breaking point, grabbed that girl by the arm, led her to the living room and gave her a telling off. I came back in with my hairbrush, pants and panties down and I don't think she'll be sitting comfortably all week. In this instance privacy was not an issue. I let her face the wall and show her little crimson behind for about half an hour.
Her sister straightened up and became the sweetest little darling as well. Maybe I should have paddled the big girl as well. I'm still thinking about that and I may have come off as playing favorites. She certainly deserved it as well, but her little sister was relentless in provoking her.
