Very nice craftsmanship and woodworking. One caution about holes is in order. They can tear the skin if lateral motion is involved. I know that they add a touch of intimidation. Their only purpose is to enable the paddle to travel faster with less of an air cushion when it makes contact. However, I don't think they are a good idea. Many a pledge can vouch for the effectiveness of a solid, no holes, fraternity or sorority spanking paddle. I add "spanking" because decorative paddles are back big time but I suspect that they are limited to formal occasions such as paddle and pin ceremonies. Did anyone here ever pledge and feel their big brother or big sister paddle them?

Anyway, MM, be careful. The bottom you save might be your own! However, I bet there are lots of others who will want to test drive your new paddle.
