Well, Cassady, let’s start with last things first. Clearly Allie intends to use that switch on you at some point (or another one, as they tend to dry out and become brittle). You said before that Allie ‘got the switch’ herself growing up at home, so maybe you should find out just what she has in mind when she gives you a good switchin’ based on how her mother used it on her. As a kid, I was transplanted to the South and spent a number of years watching many, many kids get switched since that’s what parents used on kids past a certain age when they punished them in public. Of the literally hundreds of switchings I observed, only once did I see a switch applied anywhere but to the backs of bare legs, usually as the parent held the kid by one arm, delivering stroke after stroke as the boy or girl danced in a tight circle around the parent howling and shrieking their lungs out. A kid who got a switchin’ was much more docile, obedient and well-behaved afterward, much more so than after a spanking, probably because the shock and sting of the switch tended to be much sharper and linger longer, the many tell-tale stripes on their legs taking days to heal and fade. The only time I witnessed a switch delivered to the bottom was when a mother gave her 16 year-old daughter a very thorough switching, both to her legs and through her wet bikini bottom (in front of dozens of kids and parents after she’d been dragged out of the lake by a life guard because she’d disobeyed her mother and unknowingly gone swimming with a large alligator). As I said, however Allie got the switch herself is probably how she intends to give it to you; I suggest you discuss it with her.
So both you and Allie have let the house become a terrible mess? Obviously what Ms. Jones saw so offended her sensibilities that she gave Allie’s bottom a good roasting but by leaving Allie to discipline you for the same transgression, she made Allie effectively responsible to her for your misbehavior. That’s not really fair to Allie as she already has to make sure you keep up with your schoolwork in addition to managing her own, and if she doesn’t want another trip over Ms. Jones’ knee she must also make sure the house is in order even if you’re not present should Ms. Jones drop by. Unless Ms. Jones felt she’d be undermining Allie’s implied authority over you, I think she might better have gotten you two at one time, peeled you both down and spanked your butts crimson then made you both clean up the house together. Since you both contributed to the mess, you’d both know you were equally answerable to Ms. Jones should she again find such decayed conditions and only one of you at home. Instead, it is now Allie’s job to motivate you and keep the house in order or find herself ‘doing the fire dance’ across Ms. Jones’ lap.
