Subject: So 95 percent of Americans will have insurance. An estimated three-quarter of people who are pushed into personal bankruptcy by medical problems actually had insurance when they got sick or were injured. “Underinsurance is the great hidden risk of the American health care system,” said Elizabeth Warren, a Harvard law professor who has analyzed medical bankruptcies. “People do not realize they are one diagnosis away from financial collapse.” I can’t find any part of the bill that is going to change this.

[> [> Subject: The average worker is going to be the one that pays the price for government mandated health insurance. Businesses can only raise their prices so much and remain competitive. Most will be forced to reduce wages to offset mandated health insurance costs. In the end most workers will find that the cut in wages roughly equals what it would have cost them to go out and buy health insurance. The liberals are so naive..........businesses won't pay for the insurance costs, the workers will. Get ready for a pay cut..........and quiting won't be an option, because there will be even fewer jobs available due to the crushing effect of governments pathetic attempts to control the free market. I cannot believe the stupidity of our politicians. Few know anything about running a business..........they are just parasites in the intestinal tract of the American taxpayer.

[> [> [> Subject: I completely agree with you. I think that everyone needs access to affordable healthcare, but this bill as written is a nightmare. It is clear that no one in Congress knows anything about business operations. This is going to force a lot of small businesses out of the market, or it's going to cause them to outsource. There is no way a lot of small organizations can afford to pay for health insurance for their employees (72% of the premium?!) and their families. It would be cheaper in some situations to just take the payroll tax, but then where's the incentive and reward for opening a business, assuming the risk and creating jobs? Business owners are already taxed to death. Plus, this is going to lead to severe inflation. If places like McDonalds and 7-11 have to offer insurance, prices on everything are going to have to go up to pay for it. I am not anti-healthcare in any mean, but this is ridiculous and scary. We're in a economic hole without this, now we're all going to be screwed.
