Subject: Yes, they will from experience. I had one of the largest pageants in my state. We made sure everyone knew we were not a prelim. It was not uncommon for us to have 40-50 contestants. We paid the winnerĺs entry to a state USA Pageant if she chose to go. We were threatened with legal action by the state and national pageant because we paid for the entry with a check from our pageant. You cannot make this crap up. I walked away from it and am better for it.

In reply to: ICEMAN 's message, "Anyone can own a local pageant by starting a LLC and registering your pageant with the Secretary of State office. Just cant use the "USA" on the end of the title unless you are a registered prelim with the state you are in. But no one will turn away your entry fee if you want your local Queen to compete in the state pageant." on 11:43:22 01/12/18 Fri
