Subject: WHAT CHANGES WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE IMPLEMENTED FOR MISS USA AND MISS UNIVERSE?

1. I would like to dispense with the selection of finalist by region. It's the reason why I hated affirmative action in education. The best and only the best should be finalist, not from where they live.

2. I would enjoy Top 20. Top 10, and then Top 5. Q&A followed by 4th,3rd,2nd,1st runners up and winner.

3. I think Steve Harvey has run it's course. Time for someone new. Any suggestions? I always thought Ryan Seacrest would be very good.

4. 3 hours is to long. 2-2 1/2 hrs. max.

5. A more diverse international panel of judges for prelim. and finals.

[> Subject: I loved the state costumes in Miss USA, bring those back. Agree with Ryan Seacrest. Not sure about anyone else, but I loved when they put the scores up. It not only kept us informed, but i think it also helps the girls if they continue to compete what their weakness and strong points may be.

[> Subject: I love love 3 hour Miss USA/Universe telecast. I have gotten used to Steve Harvery by now, he's come a long way. The only thing I would change is having men added to the judging panel.a

[> Subject: Scores added for swimsuit and gown I do like. I agree the panel should always be composed of and equal male to female ratio. I still say no on Harvey after this year. I just felt he wasn't on this year. He made a few comments that were off the mark. Need someone new. Remember the 2 Bob's? Bob Barker and Bob Goen were the best!

[> Subject: Suggestion #1 reminds me of the message board of old. Regional selections are hardly about Affirmative Action. I believe that many former Miss USA's should not have received the call on final night (speaking of Affirmative Action or quotas). I tired of seeing the same sashes compete for the crown on final night. Prior to the current owners, picking my Top 10 to get the call on final night was a breeze. I was statistically assured to get at least 30% correct just for including USA, Venezuela and India (while I would argue that Venezuela was mostly deserving of its spots, the inclusion of a few Indian delegates like Neha Dhupia made me cringe). I won't even get into the list of underserving Miss USA's. By the way, your post discharges vibes that indicate you MAY blame your personal failures in life on Affirmative Action and quotas, instead of where blame solely belongs. There is nothing sadder than someone failing to accept personal responsibility for their actions or lack thereof.

[> [> Subject: Afirmative action was all about putting merit aside to allow others of different races to have a better chance. When we start playing that game good people with better qualifications fall to the wayside. It's quite simple really. It's not rocket science. By the way I've had my own business for over 25 years. I never had to be personally concerned with Affirmative Action. That said I hated seeing more qualified individuals passed over just because of their nationality/race. I believe you earn your stripes with qualifications and talent and nothing else, be it pageantry or life.

[> [> [> [> Subject: France won 2 years ago. Get more of an international panel. As long as the panel of judges is always representative of all continents nobody should complain. Then again it's a pageant, so everyone complains all the damn time.
