[> Subject: Haiti is in the Caribbean but it is a French speaking country, therefore not part of the Telemundo demographic.

[> [> Subject: Her first language seems to be Spanish based on her pronounciation/accent and not French/Haitian Creole. I believe her dad is Dominican and mum Congolese/Haitian or something like that. She lives in Ottawa, Canada. Given that everything Black will be celebrated and yet Telemundo comes back, she could be a compromise winner... or Cheslie and then Alejandra as Miss USA... but as another poster pointed out Cheslie would not work that well for getting new franchises in/increasing franchise fees And as Dominixan Rep. Is the only other Blatina looks like she won a few years too early, Haiti may be the surprise winner!

[> Subject: I love Miss Haiti but I have a feeling all the Diana Ross coiffed black beauties may cancel each other out. I mean, we already have Cheslie as Miss USA and she has MUO's platform down cold. Why would MUO crown someone who could be Cheslie's twin as Miss Universe when there are so many other stunners competing this year?

[> [> Subject: Look at Miss Teen USA. ;) I think looking too similar to the 2 other titleholders won't be a problem. Looking too much like the current Miss Universe will be a bigger problem. If Paweesunda won in 2020, she'd have much higher chance of a win. Remember that this pageant WILL BE a celebration of African American culture in particular and Black cultur kn general. And to Miss Universe org. and US media... such Black oriented celebration epitomizes diversity.
