Subject: I just watched on YouTube -- never saw that one before. Definitely not good. In all fairness, it's a difficult situation because you have to be prepared to react in two very different ways at a moment's notice. So I think showing some disappointment is okay (who wouldn't be disappointed?) but just standing there for several seconds and ignoring the winner is not cool.

In reply to: MLB 's message, "Most first runner-up responses are generally gracious and respectful. However, it’s the poor reactions that everyone will remember. The first that comes to mind is Génesis Dávila reaction to being called first runner-up during the Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2013 Pageant. The seconds leading up to her and Monic Pérez went well, but as soon as Génesis was named first runner-up, the shear disappointment on her face was evident and it took what seemed like a lifetime to acknowledge the audience and judges. Furthermore, she neither congratulated nor acknowledged Monic. This is a classic example of how NOT to react." on 13:28:21 01/10/20 Fri

[> [> [> [> Subject: Interesting point. For someone as experienced in pageantry as Genesis showing up in this dress is inexplicable. I wonder though if she was already happy by getting a huge settlement, ousting Gareth and winning FL USA twice... so maybe that Miss USA was just another gig at that point of her life.
