I don't really know how you put a price on expenditures. You work hard to win, and the prize package ends up not what it seems to be. Gown was sponsored, so that was a HUGE relief, however, sponsored means it's a Sherri, and not that I'm ungrateful, just had a dream gown in mind for so many years in the hopes that I'd cross that stage, but that is not what I wore. In fact, I have a drawing that I did before I even won a state teen USA pageant :) With travel, airline tickets, time, appearances etc, the cost adds quickly (because you certainly can't wear the same outfit twice during your reign LOL) Additionally, I took out a $12,000 loan just to get everything I needed for Miss USA! I'm not complaining, and I didn't win...didn't even place...but I'd do it all again! I crossed the Miss USA stage!
