Subject: I genuinely believe that Kenya Moore should have moved on to the Top 3 in 1993. Regardless of how you feel about her, she was incredibly poised and showcased supreme class in the face of an extremely hostile Mexico City audience. I believe that her scores were the result of the judges reacting to that rude audience. My Top 3 will always be Kenya, Paula and Milka; with Paula (Colombia) taking the crown, Milka (Venezuela) 2nd, and Kenya (USA) 3rd.

I do not remember the scores, but I feel like PR had it in the bag (during this time Colombia and VZ were also strong but they never won). But Kenya did great. On a flip side, I do not think Rachel should have been top 5 in 2007.

[> [> [> Subject: Hi Vegas. I agree that Rachel should not have been Top 5 in 2007, and I admit that I am biased because I wanted Tanzania to have that spot (I think she finished 6th). As far as PR goes in 1993, I remember the scores from prelims and finals. She never had it in the bag until the very end. Though, I do accept that she won it all.

[> [> [> Subject: Really? I never thought Puerto Rico had it in the bag at all in 93. But then again, most of the Miss Universe wins by Puerto Rico seem questionable for me. Always found Dayanra to be mousy.

[> [> [> [> Subject: Indeed. I believe the first four Puerto Ricsn winners are more of an acquired taste. As oved the top as it may sound, Zuleyka is really the best of them all both on terms of beauty and spicy personality. I know a log of people like Denise bitvshe's always been a normal, good looking woman and that's it. The first three winners are truly an acquired taste if there is one.

[> [> [> [> [> Subject: Agreed. All of the winners except Zuleyka had this "I Got Lucky" Goofy Vibe to them. Except Quinones whose crown was clearly bought. Quinones applying her skills well to her girls, mooching off Sherri Hill and Telemundo.
