Subject: Nope, anyone with eyes and ears could see USA deserved Miss Universe that year. Marisol was ordinary in every way with zero grace or sophistication. Debbie was beyond just stunning, she was elegant and refined. It was like watching the pedestrian Rima Fakih beat the queenly Morgan Woodard. Completely unjustified results. Itís funny though how the likes of you who belittle Miss USAs sure donít mind discussing when you disagree with Miss USAs winning Universe but when we want to discuss when USA should have won, suddenly itís foul.

In reply to: Old Fan/New Name 's message, "Itís difficult to believe after 50 years people are still stuck on Debbie Sheltonís placement at MU. I always felt it was correct and when reviewing the 1970 MU video, it is quite obvious to me Marisol had more energy that July evening than Debbie. I've learned over the decades of pageants I've witnessed to accept the judge's final decision or spend forever in resentment land. Time to move on!" on 18:52:38 01/31/20 Fri
