Subject: Favourite transformation ever?

I'll start. One of my favourite transformations ever is Ly Jonaitis. At her crowning as Miss Venezuela 2006 she had jet black hair, black heavy eye liner and bright red lipstick... by the time arrived at Miss Universe 2007 she looked like a soft, gorgeous, brunette GODDESS!

[> Subject: Our current Miss Universe made a great choice when she went for the short hair. This article (https://mbaretimes.com/2019/12/13/zozibini-tunzi-12/) shows her in earlier incarnations. Although she was cute, it's only this latest transformation where she looks like a Miss Universe. I also seem to remember Natalie Glebova made some big changes, especially to her hair color, but I'm having trouble finding the "before" photos.

[> Subject: Crystle Stewart. For those who followed her, every year she was *almost* perfect until 2008 when she got it all right. Even at Universe, she was one of the rare Miss USAs who actually showed up looking even better that at USA (only Christie Finchner, Nia Sanchez, and Olivia Jordan come to mind as fitting this category).

Shame about that gown incident because she would have likely made it up to the final 3 that night.

[> [> [> Subject: Jacqueline had an ok transformation, but still was not that great looking at USA. Better than at state's though. And now she looks like a gorgeous woman. I think she is 34 now and looks much younger. I am glad they crowned someone like her, that was more about potential rather than performace.

Although I have to tell you I LOVED Miss CT 1966 Pat Denne 1st RU at Miss USA. That was the first Miss USA Pageant I had even seen on TV and I think she was the first girl to wear her hair straight and natural.

Whatever. when she competed in Oklahoma Miss I think in 2015 her Talent was fantastic and her gown was gorgeous (I saw them on Facebook) but from what I've heard she fell down the stairs when she was competing in gown in the preliminary-that part wasn't on Facebook. Anyway I think she's getting married this month so good luck to her..

[> Subject: One of my favorite transformations was another Miss Venezuela Mariangel Ruiz. When she won Venezuela, she looked way overdone with all the heavy makeup and then showed up Universe with a very lovely natural and soft look which was not the norm for Miss Venezuelas at the time. A not-so-favorite one of mine was Miss Thailand 2010 Fonthip Watcharatrakul. She looked lovely when she won Miss Thailand and thought she would do well at Universe. But then she came to Universe looking like a completely different person due to plastic surgery and looked mean and aggressive. I still swear they replaced the original winner with another person and if you watch her farewell crowning at Miss Thailand, her father has this confused look like he doesn't recognize his daughter

[> Subject: For the longest time I thought Venezuela’s back to back should have been 07-08. I just never really got Stefania 09 like some did. But looking back, especially towards the end of her reign, I came to love Japan’s Riyo Mori from 07. Her final walk is one of the most memorable ever, and she’s still stunning and all to this day. That said, her transformation during her year was nice. :)
