Subject: Yeah, I guess there has to be a balance between totally random questions (which, let's face it, no one in any other field has to face, except maybe politicians) versus rehearsed responses. I was pretty unhappy after 2015. I think MUO should generally try to make the contestants look good and avoid YouTube moments. A meltdown like Caitlin Upton's ultimately hurts the credibility of the pageant, because everyone looks like an idiot. As for Veruska, well, I'm sure she is a lovely human being... but that hair... the arched eyebrows... ARGH! Damn it, now I have snapped into a fetal position.

In reply to: MU_Critic 's message, "I couldn't look directly into my screen every time that hideous pink quinceanera ball gown came on. But yes, it was a crazy year -- so much so that Mam Adjei (aka Maleficent due to her gown choice) had a look of shock and chagrin when she was announced as 4th RU! LOL! I kind of like the finalists not knowing the topics before hand, since FQ then becomes a challenge of wit, speed, composure and impromptu intelligence. When they get a head's up, they basically memorize a pre-written blurb. USA 2017 was a great example of this where each of the Top 3 were so eloquent to the point it didn't seem realistic or natural. Don't know if that makes sense. I'm still in the fetal position on the floor due to your post about my sweetheart Veruska! lmao!" on 21:00:35 09/21/20 Mon
